This site exists because of a gap that is not hard to state and surprisingly hard to find filled: a UK retail investor cannot buy a crypto ETF, and almost everything written about crypto ETFs is written as though they can.
What we cover
Four things, in roughly this order of emphasis. What the FCA permits and forbids, and what changed on 8 October 2025. Which listed products a UK investor can actually deal in, what they hold, and what they charge once every cost layer is counted. How the US fund market works, because it is the reference point everything else is written against. And the alternative of buying cryptoassets directly, including custody, tax and the OTC market.
What we are not
We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We are not an investment firm, a broker, a fund manager or an adviser. We hold no client money and no client assets. We do not give personal recommendations, and nothing on this site should be read as a suggestion that a particular investment is suitable for you.
We do not publish price predictions, approval forecasts, or rankings sold by position. Our editorial policy sets out the full list of things we have decided not to do and why.
How we are funded
Through commercial links, which are marked wherever they appear. The arrangement pays for the research and does not buy a better write-up — the fee tables, the structural criticism and the regulatory warnings read the same either way. Several pages on this site take positions that are unhelpful to commercial partners, and they are published as written.
How current this is
Research across the site was last reviewed end to end on 14 September 2026. Every figure carries a date, because in this market a stale number does more harm than no number. Where we could not verify something, the table has a gap and the source note says so.
